Zahara Williams

Zahara Williams is a native of Detroit, MI. A desire to be immersed in the HBCU experience, led her to a Bachelor of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University. Fully aware that opportunities required more, she went on to obtain a Master of Social Work at the University of Michigan. On her life’s journey, Zahara encountered significant ebb and flows, that involved loss, a foreclosure, betrayal and self-doubt. While others described her as resilient and adventurous, it didn’t always coincide with what she felt inside. Grasping for some greater purpose, the busyness never filled the void she was attempting to escape. Finding a resolve required transparent self-reflection and grieving what she had in mind, but also awareness that the absence didn’t diminish her worth. As a speaker, Zahara has the ability to show up in the most authentic way, blending personal experience with training, walking with individuals on a transformative journey, to find clarity, cultivate healthy relationships, & find purpose beyond pain.
